In the reinforced concrete construction steel and concrete are connected to common effect. One calls the steel thereby the armouring (reinforcing) of the concrete.

The necessary steel cores are to be prepared and shifted: The steel must be cut after the armouring design, bent possibly and brought into the formwork form.
